JCC Youth Community Project
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. " --Matthew 5:14-16

Many people enjoy traveling great distances to provide services to those in need. Whether it be hurricane relief, tornado relief, wildfire and flood relief, or just helping folks in need from other countries, folks will go great distances to provide help. Often, these trips carry quite an expense!
But why do we need to travel so far when we can take care of people in our own local communities in the same way?
But why do we need to travel so far when we can take care of people in our own local communities in the same way?
This is what has inspired our JCC Youth Group to take action. Every other year, we travel to provide service to folks in need. This year, we're staying home and working to make a difference locally. We're giving up our Spring Break in order to help a family in our community, being Jesus' Hands and Feet in the process.
But this year's project isn't exclusive to our youth ministry. We're sharing our light with our entire community and welcome everyone to join in to make a difference in someone's life. We should all be doing these things, and our youth have chosen to lead the way.
