Summer LYNC FAQ’S
 1. How much does Summer LYNC cost?
  • Registration Fee: $50 per child.
  • Regular fee: $25/Week first child & $15/Week each additional child.
  • See the LYNC Forms “Fee Schedule” for other options based on which plan you select.
The registration fee includes the child’s LYNC T-shirt and supplies. This fee needs to be paid at the time of registration.
 
2. When does Summer LYNC begin and end?
Summer LYNC 2021 will begin June 1 and run through August 6th.
 
3. What are the hours for Summer LYNC?
LYNC meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Extended hours are available for an extra charge.

4. My work schedule doesn’t match your 9:00 to 3:00 hours. Can you help me with child care?
Yes. Extra LYNC Day Care is our extended care program. Extra LYNC is available beginning at 5:30 AM until regular LYNC begins at 9:00 AM, then again when LYNC dismisses at 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM. 5. How many kids are in Summer LYNC?
We limit our enrollment to 275 children. We then divide that enrollment into multiple groups, based on age, grade, and social skills. Typically, there are no more than 20 children in each group.

6. What is your child to staff ratio?
We generally have a staff of 25-30. This gives us an overall child to staff ratio of no more than 10 to 1. However, there are times, as in the school systems, when we do have one staff member overseeing a group of 20 children.

7. What does a typical day’s schedule look like at Summer LYNC?
We have special activities going on each day, but a typical day’s schedule might look like one of the following days:
  • Between the hours of 9am and 3pm we move activities every 30 minutes. 
  • Activities in these rotation include group time, music, art, free play, reading, skill builders, swimming, organized games, Bible study, and field trips.

8. How do I sign up for Summer LYNC?  
Print out the forms linked to this web page and bring or mail them in.

9. What should I bring to registration?
  • Information about your child (name, address, age, grade, T-shirt size, school, teacher’s name, etc.).
  • Registration fee
  • The name  anyone to whom you give permission to pick up your child from LYNC.
  • Emergency contact information for yourself and at least one other person.

10. How can I help my child best be prepared for Summer LYNC?
  • Bring your child to our evening open house.
  • Encourage your child that LYNC is a FUN adventure (We are NOT summer school).
  • Talk to your child about being respectful and listening and following directions.

11. Does my child have to attend every day?
  • No. Children need to be registered for LYNC at least three days per week. We understand that families have activities they want to do together and we don’t want to interfere with that, but we do encourage good attendance.
  • In order to participate in special activities (swimming and field trips), children need to have been in attendance at least two of the five preceding LYNC days (in addition to the special event day).
  • If you know in advance that your child will be absent for summer camps or family vacation, just let us know in writing or by email.

12. Can I drop off my children any time, or do they need to arrive at 9:00 am?
  • LYNC is not a drop-in program. Our regular day begins at 9:00 AM. We try to maintain a FUN, but structured environment, and it is best if all children arrive at 9:00am (unless arriving earlier for Extra LYNC).
  • We understand there will be occasional times when your children may have a doctor appointment or have other lessons or appointments and will need to arrive later than 9:00am.
