Dead or Alive? Baptism/Membership Themes: the Family of God, belonging, fellowship. The picture of baptism is a mixed image of both death and life. We visualize the old part of us dying to our own control. And wonderfully we celebrate the resurrection to a new life with Jesus. Today we celebrate both those joining formally as members of JCC, as well as those being baptized; both as a symbol of our unity with Jesus and with one another!
